Strategic Vendor Management

A core strength of the IWDC is our Vendor Agreements, which enable our Members to compete on a level playing field … and often even give them an advantage in the marketplace.

We offer two types of Vendor Agreements: Approved and Recommended.

Approved Vendors, as defined by our Purchasing and Marketing Committees, are vendors who provide products, services, and capabilities that are particularly relevant to IWDC Members.

Recommended Vendors are those who we feel go beyond what’s typically expected of a vendor to provide our Members with truly exceptional service.

For further details, please review the Vendors page and related pages of our website.

Right now the IWDC has 10 Recommended Vendors and 185 Approved Vendors. Our listings break them all down into categories for easier searches. Examples of these categories include, but are not limited to:

  • Cylinders, Liquid Vessels & Accessories
  • Arc Welding & Electrode Accessories
  • Expense Control & Service Vendors
  • Filler Metals & Accessories
  • Gas Apparatus
  • Gas & Gas Support Systems
  • Safety
  • Tools, Power, Electric & Pneumatic
  • Wholesalers

All aspects of IWDC Vendor Agreements – including pricing – are negotiated: payment terms, freight policy, marketing allowances, rebates, and additional convention discounts. The IWDC makes more than 130 rebate programs available to our Members. Rebates paid back to our Members have exceeded $25 million over the last 5 years.

To learn more about our Vendor programs, explore this website. Then contact the IWDC.
