AUBURN, Wash. Jan. 16, 2017 – CK Worldwide Inc. is celebrating 50 years of developing innovative technology and products for the welding industry. Established in 1967, Conley & Kleppen, later to become CK Worldwide, has brought more improvements to TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) equipment than any other manufacturer. The quality and range of products offered by CK Worldwide has been met unmatched, and continues on as one of the most preferred varieties of TIG products.“It all started with the simple idea of entrepreneurship; we saw the way torches were being made and thought to ourselves, we can do this better,” states Art Kleppen, Owner and Founder. “The innovations just seemed to keep coming, one after another, and that’s when we knew we had something special.”

To commemorate their 50th anniversary, CK Worldwide has made a sizeable endowment to the AWS Foundation in order to create two TIG welding scholarships. These $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to two individual students, every year, as determined by qualifying criteria. CK Worldwide hopes that these scholarships open new doors for students and allows for continued growth within the welding community.
