WELDERS SUPPLIES LIMITED IS MANITOBA'S FAMILY ENTERPRISE OF THE YEAR!
Will represent Manitoba in the national competition
The Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (CAFE) Manitoba is pleased to announce Welders Supplies Limited as the 2014 Manitoba Family Enterprise of the Year, at a gala event held at the Norwood Hotel last evening.
Started in 1946, Welders Supplies Limited is a third generation family-owned and managed business. Now 68 years later Welders Supplies Limited is the largest independent distributor of industrial gases and welding supplies in Canada, and Medigas is one of the largest sleep apnea and medical device distributors in Western Canada. The company will go on to represent Manitoba in the national competition and could be the first family business from Manitoba to receive this prestigious national award.
Attendees enjoyed the behind-the-scenes family stories told by Welders Supplies Limited and the three other finalists, Maric Homes, Poulin's Pest Control and R-WayAg Ltd.

Since 1983, the Family Enterprise of the Year Award has recognized significant achievements by Canadian family businesses, acknowledging their importance in Canada's economy. Every nomination must meet eligibility requirements and undergoes a rigorous judging process to become a finalist and a winner.
