I am pleased to announce that, effective Monday, August 31, John Gaither joined IWDC, reporting to me as Director of Information Technology. In this role, he will be responsible for leading this vital department and delivering IT know-how and efficiency. Tina Estes will continue to support IWDC's EDI program on a fractional consultant basis.
John comes to IWDC with over 30 years of IT leadership roles at several greater Indianapolis, Indiana industrial distribution and manufacturing companies: Acorn Distributors, Jobsite Supply, American Art Clay Co., and Tube Processing Corporation. He also taught a variety of IT courses as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana Vocational Technical College for over 16 years.
John holds an MBA in Global Supply Chain Management from the University of Indianapolis and a BS in Computer Science from Ball State University.
John enjoys implementing systems and finding ways to make life easier for both customers and coworkers. He is always looking for opportunities to improve processes and help others succeed.
John and his wife, LeeAnn, live in Indianapolis. Their son flies C-130s for the Air Force Reserve at Dobbins Air Reserve Base. With family spread across the country, John and LeeAnn spend many of their vacations visiting and traveling with family.
Outside of work, John enjoys riding motorcycles and is also a licensed drone pilot. He is lucky to have the opportunity to fly RC blimps at Indianapolis Colts, Indy Fuel, and Fishers Freight games.
