IWDC stakeholders should feel proud - we collected $20,860.75 for The Wish For Our Heroes!
WFOH, a national charity headquartered in Noblesville, IN was established in 2009 as a non-profit foundation whose sole purpose is to grant wishes for Active-Duty military soldiers and their families, “Helping Heroes Battle Hardships”. It is a volunteer-based organization, allowing every dollar donated to directly assist the troops.
On June 11, one of those volunteers and very much a hero in his own right, SFC (retired) Erich Orrick visited IWDC to meet with the staff and accept our donation.
After answering questions about his service, Erich stated: “Imagine being a young troop deployed in Afghanistan with a family back home. Do you want to focus on the enemy while you are on patrol or do you want to be distracted by worrying about your family making ends meet? Thanks to IWDC, Wish For Our Heroes has the resources to ensure that the only thing going through our heroes minds is mission, not hardship.”
MISSON ACCOMPLISHED!
