Indianapolis, IN – Friday, November 8, 2019 – In recognition for his
contributions to IWDC, the
Industrial Gas & Welding Industry and
surrounding greater Richmond, Virginia community, Ray Dillard, Arc3
Gases, was presented the Bob Jackson Memorial Award at IWDC’s
October 22 - 24 Owners’ Meeting in Manalapan, Florida.
Bob Jackson played an integral part in the formation of the Independent
Welding Distributors Cooperative (IWDC). The honor is bestowed
annually on a Member who has “gone above and beyond” in their support
of the organization. The Bob Jackson is considered the preeminent
award of the IWDC. Criteria for the award includes: strong volunteer spirit,
supportive of independents, viewed internal and externally as a respected
leader, engaged in our industry, community and family centric.
Arc3 Gases was incorporated in October 2013 when two long-standing,
independent gas and welding supply companies joined forces: Arcet
Equipment Co. of Richmond, VA (est. 1946) and Machine & Welding
Supply Co. of Dunn, NC (est. 1954). Arc3 Gases is a multi-generation
family owned and operated business with 54 locations in Virginia,
Maryland, the Carolinas, and Georgia where it operates a broad
distribution and retail network providing outstanding service to customers
of all types and sizes. Arc3 Gases serves many industries ranging from

The IWDC is a cooperative, formed in 1994, which leverages the strengths
of its independent welding distributor Members across North America. IWDC’s 135 Member companies

these industries look to them for industrial, specialty, and medical gases as well as related equipment, hard
