Elk Grove Village, IL – May 1, 20015 – Thunderbird LLC announced today that it has acquired the operating assets of the New Albany, Miss., impact extruding facility of Worthington Industries. The facility will be renamed Metal Impact South LLC and join with Metal Impact LLC, located in Elk Grove Village, IL. The two facilities will continue operations as they are, currently providing precision impact-extruded products serving the medical, automotive, defense, oil services, and other diversified commercial markets.

With this acquisition, the combined facilities of Metal Impact© will grow its large press capacity of 1,500 tons to 3,500 tons and double its manufacturing footprint.
